How Can We Use SalesForce?
For starters, Salesforce offers the Chatter App, which allows employees to connect and stay up to date with one another. Each employee at the company makes their own profile from which they can update their status, similar to Facebook. The difference between Chatter and traditional social networks is, with Chatter the employee’s status conveys information about their current work-related task. It’s a great way for co-workers from any division of the company to ask for advice or work together on projects, without meeting up in person.
With a Salesforce profile an employee can choose what other workers they would like to follow and see their status updates. An employee can also choose to follow certain documents or spreadsheets (to see updates coworkers have made on those documents). Chatter is a way to stay up-to-date with everything that is going on in the work place.
The Chatter application is just one part of the Sales Cloud. Sales Cloud combines information from Chatter, social networks, contacts, and analytics to easily keep track of leads and sales. All of this information is available in a secure manner via a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile device.
Salesforce also integrates with Data.com, a service that can continuously provide your business with quality leads. Data.com is very useful for maximizing a business’ marketing reach, ultimately increasing conversion rates and maximizing ROI.
